No; we have as usual been asking the wrong question. It does not matter a hoot what the mockingbird on the chimney is singing. The real and proper question is: why is it beautiful?

As soon as beauty is sought not by religion or love, but by pleasure, it degrades the seeker.

Loving Arms
Trees have a curious relationship to the subject of the present moment. There are many created things in the universe that outlive us, that outlive the sun, even, but I can't think about them. I live with trees.

Who am I? If you would have asked me this question before becoming a mom, my answer would likely be very different. Today,
I am first and foremost, a wife. My husband, Matthew, is awesome. Matt has a huge heart, which I take pride in knowing that he chose to share it with me. He is intelligent, patient, handy, and the only one I know who can put up with my crazy ideas. I am also a mom, learning as I go. I have gone from always trying to perfect things to loving the mistakes I make. Marin is a joy, so sweet, so lovely. She was born on November 6, 2009 and every day I get to spend with her becomes my new favorite day.
Our family loves the Lord and lives daily for Him.
I created this blog with hopes of sharing my stories, thoughts and ideas, simple as they be, as a sort-of scrap-book. Just a glimpse of a few memories as time goes by.
I should also mention the three other important members of our family; Ebony(our cat), Rolley and Tilly (our two dogs). We love them dearly, even though they have been demoted since the arrival of Marin.
